Starting with your favourite dressing at the bottom of the jar, add heartier items next, like mushrooms, cucumbers, carrots, beans and chickpeas. Next layer is lighter morsels – like cooked grains, grated cheese, fruit and berries, sprouts, tomatoes, corn, seeds and nuts.
