Join mushroom farmer and forager Robin Mercy for a fun and informative mushroom foray in the forests around Nelson. Learn about the principles of wild mushroom identification, and familiarize yourself with some of our region’s most distinctive and delicious fungi.
Attendees will need to make their own way to the event location – Nelson Memorial Park. Please dress for the weather and bring your own water and snacks (none provided).

Robin Mercy is the owner of Mr. Mercy’s Mushrooms, a certified organic mushroom farm in Kaslo, BC. He found his way into cultivation by way of wild foraging, which he fell in love with over the course of a decade spent working in the forests of Interior BC. He loves sharing his passion for all things fungi, and continues to draw inspiration from the rich and complex ecosystems that surround us here in the Kootenays.
