Food Hampers

With the help of our members, our buyers and our our produce suppliers Pro Organics, Discovery Organics, and Nature’s First Fruits, we’ve been able to support four hamper programs, making holiday feasting possible for hundreds of families in our community. This year $3700 in produce and dry goods went to Nelson Community Food Centre, Kaslo Food Hub, Aimee Beaulieu Transition House, and Slocan Valley Food Cupboard.

Giving Tree

In 2018 our Giving Tree card program supports Kootenay Food, an initiative of the West Kootenay Permaculture Co-op, building a healthy and resilient region by growing our food economy and strengthening the connection between eaters and growers.  The full value of each $10 card goes to Kootenay Food.
